View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Donald Eugene Sisk, 86, retired employee of Monsanto Chemical Company, passed away at Lifecare Center of Columbia on Thursday, January 14, 2021. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jeremy Butt and Ricky Clay officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. The family requests all in attendance to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing and facial coverings are required. Born January 1, 1935 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Charlie Sisk and the late Katie Mae Sanders Sisk Harvey. In August of 1952 at the age of 17. He married Alma Ruth Potts Sisk. They were blessed to be married for over 68 years. After his retirement from Monsanto, he enjoyed his days by traveling, auctions, yard sales, gardening, and yard work. He was always seen at the ballfield when his grandson was playing in a game. He has been on numerous mission trips and campaigns to raise money for various churches of Christ. Mr. Sisk was a member of North View church of Christ. To cherish his memory, besides his wife, Alma, he leaves behind his daughter, Donna (Dean) Dial of Columbia; grandsons, Eric (Lauren) Dial of Columbia, Scotty (Lisa) Dial; great granddaughters, Ava Dial of Columbia; Harper Dial of Columbia; Shelby (Matthew) Parker of Chapel Hill; sisters, Judy (Charles) Lee of Culleoka; Linda (James) Ballinger of Columbia; Lois (Joe) Kelley of Culleoka; Dot Bowdren of Austin, Texas; Laura Mayoza of Hernando of Mississippi; Shirley Trice of Lewisburg; and brothers-in-law, Ronald Luna and Olie Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Sisk Young, Virginia Sisk Cates, Jessie Fay Sisk, Elaine Thomas, Patricia Luna, Ruby Powers, Beatrice Malone, and Joyce Fowler; and brothers, William “Tom” Sisk, Edward Sisk, Johnnie Harvey, Luther “Jr.” Harvey, Charles Harvey, and Joe Hayes. Active pallbearers will be Ronald Luna, Shane Luna, Scott Luna, Jason Kelley, Tim Lee, Christian Cahill, Andy Dial, and Ray Rummage. Honorary pallbearers include past employees of Monsanto Chemical Company, Jimmy Attkisson, Jerry Totty, and Elders and Deacons of North View church of Christ.
