After college, Mr. Lunn was employed by Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home where he assisted with funerals and the ambulance service before beginning his 30 year career at Monsanto Chemical. After retirement from Monsanto, he returned to Oakes & Nichols as a part-time employee for several years. He had previously owned the Lunn family farm in the Hampshire Community, where he thoroughly enjoyed working the land, bushhogging, and raising Red Hereford cattle. He loved attending auctions, was a former Maury Regional Auxiliary volunteer and a member of First United Methodist Church. Don never met a stranger, and there was never a time he didn't greet you with a smile and a handshake. His warm spirit, good will, sense of humor and smile touched everyone around him. Don carried out life to the fullest and all those who experienced his loving spirit will forever miss his bright presence and strength.
