Mr. Donald Curtis Sistrunk, 69, founder and CEO of Corrugated Chemicals, Inc., and resident of Columbia and Knoxville, died Saturday, July 2, 2005 on his farm on Howard Switch Road in Hohenwald. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Presbyterian Church with Rev. Arch Warren officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Churchyard with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, he earned a Masters Degree in Industrial Mangement from Georgia Tech University and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1960 to 1963 and the U. S. Air Force Reserves from 1963 to 1978. He was a member of the Southside United Methodist Church in Jacksonville and the Rotary Club. Survivors include his wife, Anne Lowry Sistrunk of Columbia and Knoxville; a daughter, Megan Rose Sistrunk of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sons, Earl Lowry Sistrunk of Naples, Florida and Donald Tod Sistrunk of Cincinanati, Ohio; his mother, Faye Foy Sistrunk of Jacksonville, Florida; a sister, Carolyn Ann Hernandez of The Villages of Florida; brother-in-law, James A. Hernandez of The Villages of Florida; his mother-in-law, Olivia King Lowry of Columbia and sister-in-law, Olivia Rose Odom of San Diego, California. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Curtis Sistrunk. Active pallbearers are Earl Lowry Sistrunk, Donald Tod Sistrunk, Megan Rose Sistrunk, James A. Hernandez, Danny Alan Barrier, Ricky D. Akridge and John Paul Barrier. Honorary pallbearers are Howard Bartlett and Jim St. John.
