Donald Wayne Cannady, 69, retired farm equipment mechanic for Lynch Equipment Sales and resident of the Rally Hill Community, died Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Vanderbilt Medical Center after a short illness. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 4:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Yerkes officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. A private family burial will be in Shane Cemetery. He was a 1973 graduate of Culleoka High School. Mr. Cannady was a quiet man that loved his family and extended family. He took great joy in loving on his grandchildren. Mr. Cannady enjoyed target shooting, Massey Ferguson Tractors, and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, whom he married September 11, 1982, Judith Elaine Riley Cannady of Columbia; sons, Steven (Cassie) Cannady of Culleoka; Jacob (Jerri Ann) Cannady of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Brady Fuller, Samson James Cannady, Eliza Cannady, Paisley Cannady, Jonah Cannady; brother, Tim Cannady of Culleoka; sister, Lisa (Mike) Fischer of Nashville; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
