View Funeral Webcast Donna Faye Wantland Jones, 83, died October 12, 2022 at NHC Maury Regional. Funeral services for Mrs. Jones will be conducted at 2pm on Sunday, October 16th at Williamsport United Methodist Church in Williamsport, TN with the Reverend Brady Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the Williamsport cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 1pm until the service time. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home are assisting the family with arrangements. Born in Maury County on January 11, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Howell Zillman Wantland and Grace Lee Turner Wantland. After graduating Columbia Central High School and attending the University of Tennessee, she went on to work at First Farmers Bank and after raising her children, returned to work in the real estate appraisal business. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Williamsport United Methodist Church, was an avid reader, and enjoyed her plants, gardening and antiques. She loved and was so proud of her family, especially her seven grandsons. She recently celebrated 60 years of marriage to her husband, Willis (Sonny) Edgar Jones Jr. She is also survived by her three children, Willis (Kim) Jones III of Brentwood, Tracyann (Steve) Benefield of Murfreesboro and Forrest (Dana) Jones of Murfreesboro; her seven grandsons Willis (Valerie) Jones IV of Nashville, Jackson Jones of Brentwood, Blake (Cori) Benefield of Murfreesboro, Hunter (Abby) Jones of Nashville, Andrew (Lexi) Benefield of Murfreesboro, Alex Jones of Murfreesboro, Addison Jones of Murfreesboro; one great granddaughter Collins Bell Benefield of Murfreesboro; sisters Betty (John) Dixon of Murfreesboro, Debbie (Steven) Harris of Columbia; brothers the late Howell (Joan) Wantland of Knoxville, Newt (Mary) Wantland of Columbia, and the late James Edward Wantland; sisters-in-law Jane Ann Perky of Louisville, KY and Shirl Coleman of Del Ray Beach, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her longtime caregiver Tess Hinson and the wonderful staff at NHC Maury Regional. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons.
