Donna Gibson Mrs. Donna Sue Demastus Gibson, widow of Donald Gibson and resident of Stewart St., died Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Wallace and Rev. Jim Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 3 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Maury County Animal Shelter, 1236 Lawson White Dr., Columbia, Tennessee, 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of Annie "Sue" Dark Demastus of Columbia and the late James Carl Demastus. She was a 1957 graduate of Culleoka High School. She was employed by JRN, Inc. for fourteen years, the last five of which she was Administrative Secretary for Mrs. John R. Neal. She was secretary for the Downtown Business & Professional Association and a supporter of the Maury County Animal Shelter. Mrs. Gibson was an active member of Craft Memorial United Methodist Church where she served as secretary for the Administrative Council and was an active member of the choir. Survivors in addition to her mother are one daughter, Suzanne (Scott) Supplee of Baltimore, Maryland; one son, David (Lisa) Gibson of Lynnville; one sister, Nancy (Jimmy) Williams of Columbia; four granddaughters, Kayla Mae Gibson of Lynnville, Cassie Paton, Flannery Supplee, Elsbeth Supplee all of Baltimore, MD; and two nieces, Julie Williams of Columbia and Janet Williams of Murfreesboro. Pallbearers will be Forace Chapman, Malloy Cummins, Jimmy Curry, Alfred "Bubba" Edwards, Jr., Ronnie Gibson, Bobby Moore, Hollis Moore, David Riley, Willie Palmer, William Sanders, and Robert "Petey" Matthews.Honorary pallbearers will be Dottie and Donald Sneed, Scott Supplee, Freddy Marshall, members of Craft Memorial United Methodist Church and employees of JRN, Inc.
