Doris Jean Akin

Doris Jean Akin, 82, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at her residence in Spring Hill following a brief illness. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Lee Stevenson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born February 9, 1936 in Maury County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Turner Akin and the late Nannie Lou Black Akin. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy King; and Corrine Haley. Survivors include several nieces; nephews; and cousins.
