Mrs. Doris Kriegel Mrs. Doris M. Kriegel, 76, native of Columbia, died Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at her residence in Alexandria, Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Demaine Funeral Home in Alexandria. Burial will be in Mt. Comfort Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late James K. Biffle, Sr. and Lillie Pearl Kincade Biffle. During WWII she moved to Washington, D.C. to work for the Department of the Navy. She retired from the Defense Fuel Supply Center in 1989. Survivors include six children, James F. (Betty Jean) Kriegel, Brenda C. Kriegel, Karl V. (Terri) Kriegel, Mary Ann Kriegel, Theresa J. (Sam) Thomas, and Cheryl M. (Tom) Wright; six sisters, Patsy (Billy) Kennedy and Carolyn (Bill) Dodson both of Columbia; Betty James of Naperville, Illinois, Grace (Darrell) Doering of Canby, Oregon, Sue Haynes of Antioch, Beverly (Jack) Collins of Mt. Juliet ; and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Kriegel, one sister, Elise Richardson and one brother, James Kendrick Biffle, Jr.
