Video memories of Doris StanageMrs. Doris Louise Perry Stanage, 71, died unexpectedly Friday, January 28, 2005 at her residence on Fleming Street. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Members of the Order of the Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Reverend Billy Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Stanage July 1995. She was a 1952 graduate of Columbia Central High School and Maury Regional Hospital's Licensed Practical Nursing Program. She was a retired LPN. A member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church, she taught Sunday School for many years and served as Director of Bible School for seven years. Additionally, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include a son, Jimmy (Debbie) Turner of Columbia; four daughters, Kathy Jean Church and Tammy Hendrix of Columbia, Rebekah (Tim) Hartley of Benton, Kentucky and Merrijune "Molly" (Jeff) Dawson of Culleoka; two sisters, Elizabeth Tomlinson of Clarksville and June Patrick of Columbia; four grandsons, Herbert Church, III, Josh Church, Adam Hendrix and Ben Turner; a step-granddaughter, Kasey Hartley; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers are Herbert Church, III, Josh Church, Adam Hendrix, Ben Turner, Tim Hartley and Kile Patrick. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. James Kelley, Deacons and members of the Choir of Faith Free Will Baptist Church, and members of the Order of the Eastern Star.
