Mrs. Doris Howell "Dot" Warf, 82, retired machinist for the Tennessee Knitting Mills, died Friday, July 15, 2005 at her residence on New Highway 7 in the Santa Fe Community. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Johnny Felker officiating. Burial will be in the Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends after 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. She attended Maury County Schools and was a member of the Collegeview Church of Christ. During World War II, Mrs. Warf performed Civil Service at Monsanto Company where she worked underground stenciling bombs and driving a fork truck. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, William M. Warf of Santa Fe; three sisters, Wilma Luttrell of Columbia, Jean (Frank) Chumley of Goodlettsville and Joyce Dawson of Columbia; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; her beloved pet, Pepper; special friends, Shelby Lunn and Kay Cook. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillie Underwood and Martha Brown and two brothers, Johnny Howell and Mahlon Howell. Active pallbearers are Mark Dawson, Mike Dawson, Lane Warf, Brent Warf, Bud Park, Jimmy Czermak, Henry Warf and Marty Adkisson. Honorary pallbearers are Carl Gardner, Richard Roberts, Clifford Hutcherson, J. W. Stewart, Ralph Baker, Mike Butler, Jack Gaskell, Loyd Warf, Leland Pigg and Willard Temes.
