MRS. DOROTHY DAWSON ARMSTRONG Mrs. Dorothy Mae Dawson Armstrong, 75, widow of M. D. Armstrong, died Saturday, August 3, 2002 at her residence on the Williamsport Pike. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Calvin Hardison officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Churchyard. The family will visit With friends Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Leslie Dawson and Bertha Mae Hardison Dawson. She a member of the Arkland Church of Christ and a graduate of Culleoka High School. Survivors include a daughter, Mona Elizabeth Gilliam (Ben) Baggett of Nashville; two sons, Roger L. (Gail) Gilliam of Columbia and David R. Gilliam of Cookeville; six grandchildren, Patrick Gilliam, David Dodson, Katherine Gilliam, Terry Baggett, John Baggett, Katherine Gilliam and Sarah Gilliam; two brothers, Ray (Roberta) Dawson of Columbia and Ralph Dawson of Franklin. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leslie Dawson and a sister-in-law, Jewell Dawson. Family and friends will served as pallbearers.
