Dorothy Trayler Dodson

July 31, 1933 — August 6, 2008

Dorothy Mildred Trayler Dodson, 75, resident of Louise St. and retired employee of Lasko Metal Products in Franklin, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Rosewood Manor. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John Rushing officiating. Burial will be in Godwin Chappell Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 3 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to The American Lung Association of Tennessee, 1 Vantage Way, Suite B130, Nashville, TN 37228. The daughter of William Sherman Trayler and Alvera Madden Trayler, she was born in El Paso, Texas and raised in Deming, New Mexico. She attended the Baptist church. Survivors include two daughters, Patsy (Jerry) Hartsfield and Cathy (Jimmy Young) Webb both of Columbia; a son, Bill "Andele" (Nellie) Dodson, Sr. of Columbia; two sisters, Frances (R.D.) Jordan of San Angelo, Texas, LaNelle (Gerald) Johnson of Deming, New Mexico; four grandsons, Billy Dodson, Jr., Tony Riggins, Ken (Shannon) Webb, Ellis Dodson, USMC; and six great-grandchildren, Tyler Dodson, Billie Ann Dodson, Robert Webb, Todd Webb, Jake Riggins and Brittany Riggins. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Gaye Dodson and a brother, William Trayler. Pallbearers will be Billy Dodson, Tony Riggins, Ken Webb, Ellis Dodson, Robert Webb and Todd Webb.
