Dorothy Odell Veach McMillion, 89, longtime resident of the Culleoka Community, died Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born March 26, 1932 in Williamson County, she was the daughter of the late Jack Veach and the late Willie Mae Veach. She was reared by the late Tommy and Opal Collier. On September 5, 1964, she married Marion Lewis McMillion who preceded her in death December 4, 2012. For 27 years, Mrs. McMillion worked at Culleoka Unit School in the Cafeteria and 10 years at Marshall County High School. She enjoyed collecting jewelry, bluegrass music, old fashion line dancing, clogging, and was an avid square dancer. Mrs. McMillion was a member of Culleoka Church of Christ. Survivors include her brothers, Tony (Kim) Collier of Lynnville; Charlie (Amy) Collier of Leoma; nieces and nephews, Paulette (Mike) Anderson of Culleoka; Covey Collier of Columbia; Tommy (Ashley) Collier, III of Culleoka; Polly (T.J.) Chapman of Hampshire; Chane Collier of Michigan; Mikey (Ella) Collier of Columbia; several great nieces and nephews; and special friend and caregiver, David Worley of Culleoka. Active pallbearers will be David Worley, Trey Collier, Mike Anderson, Sr., Michael Anderson, Jr., Mikey Collier, and Charlie Collier. Honorary pallbearers include co-workers of Culleoka Unit School and Elders of Culleoka Church of Christ.
