View Funeral Webcast Dorothy Faye “Dot” Bobo Griffy, 89, homemaker and resident of Tinsley Lane in Columbia, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Bethany Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Born November 23, 1929, in Lawrence County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Justice Bobo and the late Lula Bell Baker Bobo. On December 23, 1951, she married Isaac Cleo Griffy who preceded her in death February 8, 2009. Mrs. Griffy loved crocheting and was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her children, Wendell (Patsy) Griffy of Lewisburg; Debra Walker of Nashville; Nancy (Johnny) Pruitt of Columbia; Janice (Boo) Barrett of Nashville; daughter-in-law, Janice Lee Myers of Spring Hill; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Jean (Bobby) Rochester. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Myers; grandson, Jeremy Myers; and fifteen brothers and sisters. Active pallbearers will be Wendell Griffy, Boo Barrett, Treavor Barrett, Johnny Pruitt, Brian Campbell, and Jeff Myers.
