Dorothy F Hayes

Mrs. Dorothy Reedy Hayes, 87, resident of Rosewood Manor and former resident of Potter Dr., died Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. David Baker officiating. Burial will be Friday in Mountain Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens in Boone, North Carolina. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 5-7p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Terre-Haute, Indiana native was the daughter of the late Charles Reedy and Jessie Reedy. On June 10, 1950 she married Floyd Dale Hayes who preceded her in death February 5, 1998. She had been employed by Solo Cup and Wilson Trucking in Illinois and also the Lake County Indiana Government. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Robert D. (Melva) Hayes of Columbia, Kenneth W. (Martha) Hayes of Cedar Lake, Indiana; and one brother, Bob Reedy of Mountain Home, Arkansas.
