Dorothy Juanita Reese Haywood, 76, former employee of Maury Manufacturing, died Monday, October 23, 2017, at her residence on Morris Avenue.A memorial service will be held Friday at 4:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Johnnie Higgason officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.Born July 6, 1941 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Spencer Reese and the late Christine Cammuse Reese. On September 12, 1956, she married Clarence "Toodlem" Haywood who preceded her in death December 27, 1987. Mrs. Haywood enjoyed clogging in her younger years and cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.Survivors include her daughters, Patricia (John) McNeal and Dana Burgett, both of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Gail Felts of Ashland City and Barbara Shelton of Franklin; grandchildren, Holly (Randy) Higgason, Josh (Magen) McNeal, Josh (Rachel) Burgett, Danny (Alisha) Burgett, Heather Davis, Caden Massey; and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Pamela Davis and Debbie Haywood; and one son, Clarence Haywood.
