Mr. Dorris Glenn Hickman, 80, resident of Crestland Drive, died Monday, December 29, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Franklin Williams officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4 - 8p.m. at the funeral home. The Williamson County native was the son of the late James O. Hickman and Ila Glenn Hickman. He managed the Texaco service station on Garden Street for many years and retired from Crozier Oil Company. He was a member of Parkway Church of Christ in Franklin. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Ann Potts Hickman of Columbia; one brother, Hugh "Butch" (Esta Sharp) Hickman of Fairview; one sister, Lillian (Gerson) Schklar of Franklin; two step-sons, Jerry (Glenda) Crumley of Culleoka, Larry Crumley of Columbia; one step-daughter, Wanda Tomlin of Columbia; seven step-grandchildren, Karen James, Julie Crumley, Matthew Crumley all of Columbia, Josh Crumley, Shelby Crumley both of Auburn, Washington, Jami Tomlin of Nashville, Teri Tomlin Burnett of Old Hickory; and four step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Jennie Mae Mack and one brother, James W. Hickman. Pallbearers will be Sam Schklar, David Schklar, Renis Baker, Jimmy Hickman, Billy Potts and M.T. Potts. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Parkway Church of Christ Sunday School class.
