Douglas Ray Stanfill

Douglas Ray Stanfill, 71, retired employee of Ray Stanfill Surveying, died Monday, November 28, 2016 at his residence on West 6th Street. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 4:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Robert Lindsey and Nora Beatrice Stanfill. Mr. Stanfill was associated with John Harris Surveying for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his children, David Ray (Cheryl) Stanfill of Harrison, Arkansas, and Deborah (Kristopher) Morris of Nashville; step-children, Heather (Rob) Latimer of Murfreesboro, and Jason Puckett of Columbia; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy "Mousie" Collier. The family would like to express a special thanks to Mike and Pam Dawson.
