Durell Sells

March 19, 1936 — May 27, 2006

Mr. Durell Sells, 70, retired electrician for the State of Tennessee and resident of Main Street in Lynnville, died Saturday, May 27, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Milton Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Mars Hill Cemetery in Marshall County with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and after 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Lynnville Church of Christ. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Clay County native was the son of the late Clarence Otis Sells and Nellie Murray Sells. He served four years in the U. S. Air Force and was a member of the Lynnville Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Martha Ashton Sells of Lynnville; a son, Gary Wayne (Annette) Sells of Castalian Springs;a daughter, Laura (Jeff) Jones of Big Lake, Minnesota; three grandchildren, Andrew Sells, Jennifer Jones and Kayla Sells; a sister, Melba Davis of Silver Point; two brothers, Charles Eugene Sells of Baxter and Jimmy Sells of Oak Ridge; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Brad Baker, Jeff Thomason, Darrel Baker, Don Story, Gary Burgess, Stan Smith, Tracy Henderson and Jimmy Ray Thomason.
