Eddie Mae "Nanny" Hendrix Mash, 95, homemaker, died Sunday, December 25, 2016 at her residence on West 1st Street. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. A private family burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born May 8, 1921 in Giles County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Edward Hendrix and Ruby Mae Stinnett Hendrix. On October 3 1942, she married Jimmy Mash who preceded her in death November 28, 1989. Mrs. Mash was of Baptist faith. Survivors include her daughters, Dot Steward and Ginger (Tim) Remer both of Columbia; granddaughters, Dottie (Daniel) Warrick, Jessica (Tracy) Dunnavant, and Leslie (Bryan) Cole; great granddaughters, Katie Warrick, Matti Martin, and Aniston Cole; great grandson, Gabe (fiancé, Katie Gerber) Warrick; nephews, Leroy (Deb) Bozeman, David (Lisa) Bozeman, James (Carolyn) Bozeman, and Jerry Wayne Hendrix; and niece, Johnnie Sue Slaughter.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by step father, Sam Hendrix; one daughter; two sisters; two brothers; one son-in-law; and one grandson. Active pallbearers will be Billy Warrick, Tim Remer, Daniel Warrick, Tracy Dunnavant, Bryan Cole, and Gabe Warrick. The family would like to express a special thanks to Tiffany at Caris Healthcare.
