Edith S "Sherry Gibson

Ms. Edith Sharon "Sherry" Gibson, 51, former E.M.T. and healthcare worker and resident of Ashwood Drive, died Sunday, November 20, 2005 at Columbia Care and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Mark and Sister Wanda Sartain officiating. Burial will be in McCains Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. She was a member of God's Refuge Church. Survivors in addition to her mother are one son, Shane Potts of Columbia; one daughter, Laurie Gibson of Columbia; one granddaughter, Mikala Potts; one aunt, Nannie Jo Grissom of Columbia; one uncle, L.D. Parham of Columbia; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by one sister, Annette Burns. Pallbearers will be friends and family.
