Edna Hight Davidson, 94, retired Chief of Central Supply at Maury Regional Medical Center and former resident of Creek Trail, died Friday, August 5, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Tommy Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late M.C. "Buddy" Hight and Lerla Brown Hight. On June 13, 1946 she married Elvin Hill Davidson who preceded her in death July 19, 2000. Mrs. Davidson enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading, and watching the Young and Restless. She was of Presbyterian faith. Survivors include her daughter, Norma (Tommy) Cook of Columbia; sister, Mildred Hill of Union City; grandson, Hodge (Amber) Cook of Columbia; great grandchildren, Jody Snedegar, Robby Snedegar, Thomas Cook, Mark Cook, and Emily Cook; great great grandchildren, Trayston Davis, Antiono Pope, and Jack Phinnessee; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Missy Snedegar, and Traci Snedegar; sisters, Hazel Mooningham, Brownie Wise, and Janie Howell; and brother, George Hight. Active pallbearers will be Hodge Cook, Mark Cook, Thomas Cook, Robby Snedegar, Gene Davidson, Tommy Hight, Ashley Brown, and Tommy Bone.
