View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Mrs. Edna Lou Prentice Folsom, 84, former truck driver for Ryder, died Saturday, March 13, 2021 at her residence in Giles County. Funeral services for Mrs. Folsom will be conducted Monday at 1:00 PM at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Darren Dugger officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be made to Maury County Animal Shelter. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born October 20, 1936 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Wilburn B. Prentice and the late Dixie Juanita Staggs. She was the wife of Delano Folsom, who preceded her in death on January 8, 2011. Mrs. Folsom loved sewing and spending time with family. She was a very compassionate person and always loved taking care of other people. Survivors include her son-in-law; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her children, Shannon Watkins, Steve Grooms and James Berry Grooms; and sister, June Dillehay. Active pallbearers will be friends and family.
