Edna Hawkins Edna Jewell Hawkins, 15, ninth grade student at Santa Fe High School and resident of Snow Creek Road, died Wednesday, September 1, 2004, as the result of an automobile accident on the Santa Fe Pike. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the Santa Fe School Gymnasium with Donald Dark and Bill Marley officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery in the Theta Community. The family will visit with friends after 1:00 P.M. Sunday at the school. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Hawkins Family Fund, c/o First Farmers & Merchants Bank, P. O. Box 1148, Columbia, TN 38402. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols. Edna was manger of the Girls' Basketball Team at Santa Fe High School and was a member of the FFA and Art Club. Survivors include her parents, David and Donna Kincaid Hawkins of Santa Fe; two sisters, Linda Hawkins (Tom) Burton of Fairbanks, Alaska; Amanda Hawkins of Santa Fe; maternal grandfather, Bayless Kincaid of Columbia; two aunts, Betty Isabell of Columbia; Donna Lynn Hawkins of Nashville; two uncles, Jeff Kincaid of Chapel Hill; Dr. Michael (Lisa) Hawkins of Dickson; and cousins, Abigail Hawkins, Erica Isabell Holt, Hanah Winters. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Raymond and Myrtle Mills Hawkins; and maternal grandmother, Kathleen Whitley Kincaid. Pallbearers will be members of the Santa Fe High School FFA and Raymond Davis, Kelley Russell, and Steve McCandless. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the 4-H Mane Gang, Duck River Fire & Basin Emergency Team, and students and faculty at Santa Fe School.
