MRS. EDNA SOWELL MILLSMrs. Edna Roland Sowell Mills, 86, a resident of Carter's Creek Station, died Saturday, December 21, 2002 at Life Care Center.Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Wayne Hardison officiating. Burial will be in the Lasting Hope Cemetery. The family will visit with friends after 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com.The Maury County native was the daughter of the late William Sowell and Edna Hill Sowell.Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, James & Louise Mills, Howard & Mary Mills, William "Bill" & Pam Mills, all of Columbia; two sisters, Katherine Parrish of Columbia and Mary Bennett of Indiana; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Mills, Sr.; a daughter, Myrtle Mills Hawkins and a son, Eddie Mills, Jr.Active pallbearers are Donald Mills, David Hawkins, Mike Hawkins, Ken Potts, Joey Potts, Joe Butler, Elmer Hughes and Jeff Rector.
