Edward Boyd "Eddie" Holloway

Edward Boyd "Eddie" Holloway, age 76, of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on August 20th, 2017. A celebration of his life will be conducted Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Fred Tapper officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 3:00 - 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be made to Place of Hope, 105 North James Campbell Blvd, Columbia, TN 38401. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born June 20, 1941 in Bolivar, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Boyd Holloway and the late Martha Mayfield Holloway. Eddie earned his Bachelor's degree in Business from Middle Tennessee State University. He served as president of the Lions Club, worked as an agent with Buddy Morgan real estate, and later retired from Nationwide Insurance Company. Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Holloway; son, Clint Holloway; daughter, Julie Holloway (Bart) Kelley; grandchildren, Miles, Hope , and Lacy; and sister, Jennifer Holloway (Jim) Woods of Northport, Alabama. Active pallbearers will be Dan Buie, David Ammons, Mack Shaw, Gary Montgomery, Larry Nickell, John Fleming, David Vernon, Bart Kelley, Richard Brown, John Lynn, Barry Blackburn, Johnny Ring, John Taylor, Dr. Taylor Rayburn and Fred Tapper.
