Edward Lee Sanders

Mr. Edward Lee Sanders, 82, retired from the maintenance department of E. I. Dupont Corporation and resident of Columbia Rock Road, died Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Life Care of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 12:00 Noon at Oakes & Nichols with James Dickey officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors at graveside provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Oliver Sanders and Elva Duncan Sanders. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Davis Sanders May 23, 1997. Survivors include a sister, Helen Weaks of Nashville; two half-brothers, Robert Sanders and Roy Sanders of Nashville; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers include family members, friends, and retirees of E. I. Dupont Corporation.
