Mr. Edwin H. Rennolds, 91, well-known gunsmith for over 40 years and owner of Rennolds Gun Shop in Nashville, died Saturday, November 13, 2004 at Life Care Center in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Eugene Barrett and Rev. Roy West officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the Tennessee National Guard. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Lawrence County native was the son of the late Hansford Rennolds and Maude Horne Rennolds and a graduate of Lawrence County High School. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Margaret Walker Rennolds of Columbia; a son, Edwin Rennolds of Omaha, Nebraska; 4 grandchildren, Renee Copeland of Omaha, Nebraska, Scott Rennolds of North Carolina, Sean Rennolds and Susan Rennolds of Pennsylvania; 5 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Rennolds of Schnecksville, Pennsylvania; nephews, Thomas West of Birmingham, Alabama, Thomas Rennolds of Savannah, Georgia, Roy Rennolds and Jimmie Rennolds of Michigan, Gil Negendank of Knoxville, David J. Walker of Columbia; sister-in-law, Mildred Negendank of Knoxville; brother-in-law, Billy J. Walker of Columbia; friend and gardener, Joe Wayne Davis.He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Rennolds, on September 7, 2003. Serving as pallbearers are John Davison, Bob Fisher, Norman Mabry, Gary Patton, Sonny Miller, David Simpson, Jimmy McClanahan and Edwin Estes.
