Elinor Ann Liggett Robinson

October 16, 1932 — May 21, 2007

Mrs. Elinor Ann Liggett Robinson, died Monday, May 21, 2007 at her residence on 6th Avenue in Columbia while surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Tommy Hight, Jr. officiating. A private graveside service for close friends and family will be conducted at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Robinson was born in the Leftwich Bridge Community of Maury County, the daughter of the late Willie Oran Liggett and Margaret Smith Liggett. She was instrumental in starting White's Glass and Mirrors in 1966. She and her husband own and operate the company which she remained active in until her retirement. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Edwin Earl Robinson of Columbia; son, Danny White of Columbia; daughter, Debbie Terry (Tony) Blackburn of Columbia; two brothers, Billy Wayne (Barbara) Liggett of Lewisburg, Tommy Allen (Carolyn) Liggett of Columbia; one granddaughter, Kristie Terry (Danny) Turpen of Spring Hill; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Turpen and Hudson Turpen both of Spring Hill; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Ruth Blalock and an infant brother, Arthur Liggett. Pallbearers will be Phil Liggett, Ricky Liggett, Alan Staley, John Zajac, Larry Sneed and Bob Duncan. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Stofel, George Stofel, Eddie Woodall, Bill Terry and Reba Stevenson. A very heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ben Gardner and the nursing staff of Hospice of the Highland Rim; special thanks to nurses, Susan Graham and Denise Patterson for their patience, understanding and exceptional care. A sincere "thank you" to Dr. Erik Iversen, Dr. Michael Blumhardt, Dr. Thomas Quinn, Dr. Jon Freels and Dr. Linda Monroe. Warmest thanks also to the staff at Maury Regional Hospital with special thanks to Nurse Shawn Payne for his professionalism, dedication and friendship.
