MRS. HERBERT J. CHURCH Mrs. Elizabeth Coleman Church, 95, long-time resident of Laurel Circle, died Saturday, June 14, 2003 at Life Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Ted Burleson officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends after 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late Rufus Coleman and Katherine Cochran Coleman. She was a long-time member of the West Seventh Street Church of Christ and the Ladies Bible Class. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Herbert C. and Willadean Church and John M. and Helen Church , all of Columbia; six grandchildren, Herbert C. (Cathy) Church, Jr., Bill (Jan) Church, John H. (Brenda) Church, Mallory Church, John Michael (Debbie) Church, Mark(Geraldine) Amis; nine great-grandchildren, Herbie Church, Josh Church, Corey Church, Joey Church, Justin Church, Keli Church, Lauren Church, Sarah Amis, Katie Amis; three great-great-grandchildren; two nephews, Billy (Patty) Coleman of Michigan and Bobby Murphy of Murfreesboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert J. Church in 1977 and four brothers, Rufus Coleman, John F. Coleman, Leo Coleman and W. M. Coleman. Active pallbearers are John Michael Church, John H. Church, William C. Church, Herbert Church, Jr., Billy Coleman and Bobby Murphy. Elders and Deacons and members of West Seventh Street Church of Christ will serve as honorary pallbearers.
