View Funeral WebcastMrs. Elizabeth Fry Counts, 77, died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at her residence on Dimple Court. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Ward and Eddie Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and Saturday after 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late Ruby M. Fry and Martha J. Owens Fry. On September 7, 1949, she married Marion Counts, Sr., who preceded her in death on September 25, 1990. Mrs. Counts was a former employee of Quality Cleaners and had worked as a private sitter. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Marion Counts, Jr. of Columbia; one sister, Inez (Ed) Graves of Pulaski; two brothers, Travis (Jean) Fry and Lincoln (Barbara) Fry, both of Pulaski; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one stepson, James Edward Counts; two sisters, Jessie Childers and Aline Bruce; and four brothers, Earl Fry, Brady Fry, Forrest Fry, and Horace Fry. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobbie Counts, Billy Ray King, and Faye Hartsfield. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Highland Rim.
