Mrs. Elizabeth Potts Bowling Eaton, 83, resident of Fleming Street, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Elmer Lusk officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Maury Augustus Potts and Clara Mai Potts. She worked several years at Dixie Manufacturing and Publix Shirt Manufacturing Company. Survivors include her husband, Charles Cole Eaton of Columbia; three grandchildren, Jackie McClain of Texas, Teresa Holtsford of Columbia, Cole (Amanda) Bowling of Mt. Pleasant; five great-grandchildren, Cody Cross, Chaz Whitsett, Ryan Bowling all of Columbia, Brandy Munn of Texas, Hayden Bowling of Mt. Pleasant, two great-great grandchildren, Raylee Munn and Noah Munn both of Texas; one brother, Raymond "Buddy" (Jean) Potts of Columbia; sister-in-law, Marjorie Jackson Potts of Santa Fe; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Kevin and Tonya Benderman. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Bowling, daughter, Betty Bowling Lewis, one granddaughter, Jolene Lewis, two brothers, Haston Potts, Howard Potts and a sister, Frances Potts Johnson. Pallbearers will be Charles Hubbell, Cody Cross, Floyd Morton, Cole Bowling, Eric Potts, William Howard Potts, Harlan Potts, Dean Potts, Gary Ledbetter, Randell Adkinson, Dean Adkinson, Kevin Benderman, Chaz Whitsett, Lyle Worsham, David Barker and Dallas Potts. Honorary pallbearers will be Tonya Benderman, the staff at Life Care Center and the staff at Maury Regional Hospital.
