Elizabeth Katherine "Betty" Goad Fraser, 79, resident of Porter Circle, died Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Centennial Medical Center. A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 1:00 P.M. at Arlington Cemetery with Reverend Frank Webb and Reverend Jack Taylor officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. and Monday from 11:00 A.M. -12:15 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Allen "Buddy" Goad and Margaret Ann England Goad Sherron. She graduated from Haylong High School. For many years, she was a nurse for Maury Regional Hospital and later Dr. Roy Harmon. She enjoyed cooking, working in her flower garden, camping, fishing, and water skiing. Mrs. Fraser was a member of Mount Pleasant First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, whom she married August 5, 1960, Charles Fraser of Columbia; sons, Donny Felton of Westmoreland, Tennessee, and Roy (Jenny) Fraser of Murfreesboro; step-children, Chuck (Karen) Fraser of Hewitt, Texas, and Linda (Kenny) Johnson of Newburgh, Indiana; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and brother, Randy Goad of Murfreesboro.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Milton Felton; and brothers, Jerry Goad and James "Pete" Goad.
