MRS. ELIZABETH REA Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Dugger Rea, 89, long time resident of the Campbell Station and Culleoka communities, died Tuesday, September 16, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funerals services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Paul Webb, Tommy Whitman and A.T. Pate officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Friday from 12:00 noon until time of service at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was daughter of the late Reece T. Dugger and Jennie A. McQuigg Dugger. She was first married to George R. White who died in 1936 and later married William Murphy Rea who preceded her in death in 1981. She was retired from Edrick Manufacturing and was active in beef cattle farming. She was a member of Campbell Station Church of Christ. She was involved in many community projects and often gifted friends and family with canned, preserved and cooked treats. She will be sadly missed by her extended family and her many friends. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Patrice White (Curtis R.) Vandiver of Lewisburg, Mrs. Elizabeth Ann "Ishy" (Gene) Neelly of Atlanta, Georgia, Mrs. Mary Jo "Jodie" (Chris) Cashion of Lewisburg; one son, John D. Rea of Culleoka; one sister, Mrs. Winnie Grace (Sheddan) Edwards of Pasadena, Texas; seven grandchildren, David C. Vandiver, Amy Lynn Vandiver Maddox, Douglas R. Vandiver, Adam A. Neelly, Reese J. Neelly, J. Ben (Dana) Pennington, Joe D. Cardwell; seven great-grandchildren, Haley Vandiver, Connor Vandiver, Sarah Vandiver, Rachel Maddox, Ryan Maddox, Grayson Pennington, Lillian Pennington; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Audrey Elizabeth Neelly; one brother, Terry Hunt Dugger; and two sisters, Reecie Lee Whitman and Ella May West. Pallbearers will be David Vandiver, Douglas Vandiver, J. Ben Pennington, Joe D. Cardwell, Adam A. Neelly, Reese J. Neelly, Chris Cashion. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Neelly, Curtis Vandiver and members of Campbell Station Church of Christ.
