View Funeral WebcastElizabeth Lee Lawrence Tyler, 85, former owner of Tyler Wedding Services and longtime resident of Plainview Farm in Culleoka, died Saturday, May 21, 2016 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at Graymere Church of Christ with John Vaughan and Andrew Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Wilkes Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 3:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Graymere Church of Christ. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. The family suggests memorials to Harry & Elizabeth Tyler Scholarship Fund, Columbia State Community College, 1665 Hampshire Pike, Columbia, TN 38401. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Marshall County native was the daughter of the late James D. Lawrence and the late Docia Scott Lawrence. On February 6, 1947 she married Harry Everett Tyler, who preceded her in death August 3, 2001. The 1948 graduate of Columbia Central High School served as a bridal consultant for over twenty-five years with Tyler Wedding Services. She had also worked at Maury County Tobacco Warehouse. She was a member of Maury Regional Hospital Auxiliary, Maury County Garden Club, and Graymere Church of Christ. Survivors include her sons, Terry (Linda) Tyler of Knoxville, Eric (Fran) Tyler of Alexander City, Alabama, and Michael (Melanie) Tyler of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Amanda (Josh) Taylor, Josh (Julie) Tyler, Emily Tyler, Mallory (Bowen) Behenna, Mollie Tyler, Jennifer (Jacob) Thorington, Tara (Brad) Johnson; and great grandchildren, Maddie Taylor, Max Taylor, Drew Tyler, Luke Tyler, Blake Tyler, Griffin Behenna, Brooks Behenna, Everett Thorington, Evelyn Thorington, and Declan Johnson. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Cummins Couch and the staffs of Morning Pointe and NHC Hillview.
