Mrs. Ellen Alexandra Lowe Walker, 63, died Monday, May 1, 2006, at her residence on Abernathy Road in Lynnville. Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Bishop James A. Johnson officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Pegram. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Highland Rim, 2014 Elmer Pogue Drive, Columbia, TN 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Fulton County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Harvey A. Lowe and Dorothy E. Lamberth Lowe. Mrs. Walker was a graduate of Stone Mountain High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia and attended David Lipscomb University. She excelled in the study of Christian scriptures and was a leader of Youth and Women's Church Groups. Survivors include her husband of forty-two years, Chaplain (COL) Larry Allen Walker, Ret. of Lynnville; three sons, Todd Allen (Mary) Walker of Paducah, Kentucky; Timothy Andrew (Laura) Walker of Clarksville; Cliff Alexander (Patricia) Walker of Smyrna; one brother, Joseph Andrew (Bobbie) Lowe of Lawrenceville, Georgia; two sisters, Mary (Van) Stanley of Thompson Station; Ann (Douglas) Hitchon of Jackson; six grandchildren, Nicolle Walker, Bradley Walker, Jeffrey Walker, Hannah Walker, Emma Walker, Ellen Walker; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, James Harvey Lowe, in 1996.
