View Funeral Webcast Ellis Harold Agent, 90, retired employee of Union Carbide and former longtime resident of Maury County, died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at his son’s residence in Franklin.Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with James Patterson and Chaplain Eddie Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. Born August 4, 1928 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Clarence Henry Agent and the late Virginia Hammox Agent. He married Patricia Ann Dillehay Agent who preceded him in death June 22, 2018. Mr. Agent served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed farming and raising cattle.Survivors include his son, Philip (Yvonnda) Agent of Franklin; daughter, Elizabeth (Gary) Parker of Centerville; grandchildren, Kirstin Agent of Spring Hill and Reed Agent (Jake) Warf of Columbia; great grandchild, Cooper Warf of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents and his wife of over sixty years, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Agent Smith in 1987; sisters, Rebecca West and Maxie Haywood; and brother, Vance Agent.Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
