View Funeral Webcast Elmer Dwayne (E.D.)Brewer 78, resident of Murfreesboro TN, died Monday December 19 in his home. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Military honors will be provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born August 1, 1944 in Florence Alabama to the late Hubert Roscoe Brewer and the late Margaret Evelyn Williams Brewer. He served in the United States Air Force and in December of 1972 he married the late Edith Sue Goolsby Brewer. Elmer worked several years in different trades of construction, before retiring in road construction in Satillo, TN. He then later moved to Murfreesboro, TN to be close to his family. Survivors include his sons, Brian (Ami) Brewer, and Jason (Natalie) Brewer, grandchildren, Hanna Brewer, Haley Brewer, Connor Brewer, Jordan Hersey, Justin Batten, Maya Brewer, Steven Smith III, Jordon Smith, and Bentley Brewer; and siblings, Larry (Laquita) Brewer, Maureen Moore Brewer, Bonnie Reeves Brewer, Joni (Joel) Brewer Pepper, and Pam Pressnell Brewer.
