Elva Olivia Anderson Watson Foster, 94, retired seamstress for Ford Motor Company and resident of the Mooresville Pike, died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at NHC Columbia.Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Jeff Foster officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late John Douglas Anderson and Lou Ella McNabb Anderson. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.She was first married to Landice Watson, father of her children, who died in 1972. Her second husband, Barnett Foster, died in 2000.Survivors include daughters, Jean (Charles) Vaughn of Columbia and Carol (Monie) Funck of Clarkston, Michigan; sons, Charles (Jeanette) Watson of Waterford, Michigan and Ron (Mary) Watson of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Victoria (Sam) Sweeney, Susan (Howard) Vaughn, Pam (Wayne) Mercer, Michael (Sue) Watson, John Timothy Funck, Lance (Caryn) Watson, and Dawn Watson; great-grandchildren, Bethany Smith, Vaughn Sweeney Cochran, Brook Sweeney, Jennifer Watson, Chelsea Mercer, Zachary Mercer, Camron Wallace, and T. J. Funck; great-great-grandchildren, Jakob Samuel Cockrum, her namesake, Cooper Olivia Cockrum, Julia Watson, and Christian Watson.She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmie Wayne Watson in 1992, a granddaughter, Lora Ann Watson in 2005, and was the youngest and last surviving of seven children.Active pallbearers are Lance Watson, Michael Watson, John Timothy Funck, Wayne Mercer, Keith Cockrum, Sam Sweeney, Kenneth Brown, and Wayne Voss. Honorary pallbearers include B. J. Watson, Jr., Jack Craig, Dr. Gaylon Harris, staff of Caris Healthcare, especially Pam Honey, Pam Holland, Kenny and Rachel of NHC of Columbia, and members of Ephesus Church of Christ.
