Emily-Krista Risley, 17, resident of Rock Springs Road, died Monday, November 19, 2007 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Kentucky. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at West Seventh Street Church of Christ with Rev. Pete Tackett officiating. A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, she was home-schooled through Gateway Christian Academy, played in the American Youth Soccer Organization, and currently was a student at Ivy Technical State College in Indianapolis, Indiana. Emily-Krista, along with Will Byrd, taught art and participated in numerous shows and activities for the for the Maury County Creative Arts. She was a model for the Morgan Graham Agency and worked part-time at Square Market Café. She participated in the Youth Group at First Baptist Church. After moving to Westfield, Indiana she attended Grace Community Church in Noblesville, Indiana. Survivors include her mother, Tricia Pitts Williams of Columbia; her father, Kris (Lora) Risley of Westfield, Indiana; brothers, Dustin Risley of Columbia and Joshua Risley of Clemson, South Carolina; maternal grandparents, L. P. and Ona Pitts of Spartanburg, South Carolina; paternal grandmother, Doris Risley of Lavergne; step-sisters, Ashlye Baker and Allyson Baker; boy friend, Will Byrd; nephew, Landen Truelove; maternal aunts and uncles, David Pitts, Paul and Vickie Pitts, Terre and Barry Mullinax, Tim and Carole Pitts, Susan and George Glenn; paternal aunts and uncles, Kerry and Karen Risley, Kevin and Stacy Risley, Korey and Brandi Risley, Kelly and Michael Gendreau; and twenty-one cousins.
