Emma Jean Malugin Bratton, 88, homemaker and longtime resident of Williamsport, died Thursday, April 14, 2016 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jim McEwen officiating. Burial followed in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family had visitation with friends Friday from 3:00 - 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late Robert Percy Malugin and Nannie Pearl Harrison Malugin. Over her lifetime, she was employed by Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative, the Hickman County School System, and Bratton's Auto Repair. Yet, it was her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother that she cherished the most. Mrs. Bratton was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Don Bratton; sons, Ronny (Debbie) Bratton, Johnny (Joyce) Bratton, and Tim (Patrice) Bratton; grandchildren, Kyle (Melissa) Bratton, Kelly (Matthew) Priest, Jason(Sandy) Bratton, Jennifer Bratton, and Lindsey (Jason) Burkhalter; great grandchildren, Madelyn, Garrett, Audrey, Baker, Ellie, and Joseph; sisters and brother, Nell Nickell, Ellen Amacher, and Glen (Shirley) Malugin; and sister-in-law, Martha Bates . In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Hayes Malugin.Active pallbearers will be Jason Bratton, Kyle Bratton, Jason Burkhalter, Matthew Priest, Ronnie King, and Michael Bates.
