Era Mae Gregg Rochelle

Mrs. Era Mae Gregg Rochelle, 77, retired bookkeeper for Rochelle Metal Shop, died Friday, November 2, 2007 at her residence on Hampton Road. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Wendell Robinson and John Vaughan officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-1942. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Lewis County native was the daughter of the late Napoleon Gregg and Mosie Harper Gregg and a graduate of Hay Long High School in Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of Graymere Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Rochelle of Columbia; a sister, Sarah York of Mt. Pleasant; a brother Odell Gregg of Mt. Pleasant; several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers are Howard Rochelle, Jr., Jerry York, Richard Clayton, Michael Orr, Paul Ring, Tony Grooms, David Clayton, and Bobby Clayton. Honorary pallbearers include Dwight York, Leon York, Jerome Clayton, James Burgett, Tony Southhall, Dennis Gregg, and Ronnie Gregg.
