Estelle Brooks Vick

July 25, 1921 — August 8, 2007

Ms. Estelle Fay Brooks Vick, 86, former resident of Campbellsville Pike, died Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols with Curtis Dowdy and Rev. Calvin Lunn officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hampshire native was the daughter of the late Willie J. Brooks and Emma Ethel Smith Brooks. She was a 1940 graduate of Hampshire High School and was a retired employee at Woldridge Drug Co. Mrs. Vick was a member of Highland Avenue Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters, Ethel Mary Shultz of Sevierville, Jeanette (Bobby) Lovell and Linda Vick both of Columbia; one son, Doug (Judy) Vick of Culleoka; four granddaughters, Keri (David) Creasy, Debbie Shultz, Leslie (Jason) Morrow, Ronda (Chip) Sternenberg; eight great-grandchildren, Jessie Nix, David Creasy, Annsley Morrow, Heather Shultz, Joseph Dockery, Chelsea Matthews, Hope Sternenberg, Hunter Sternenberg; one sister, Mrs. Orene Rittenberry of Nashville; and five sisters-in-law, Lizzie Brown Brooks, Rachel Vick, Lucille Vick, Martha Vick and Imogene Tatum. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Wayne Vick; two grandchildren, Corporal James D. Vick, II, Kathy Shultz Matthews; one great-grandson, Justin Dana Shultz; two brothers, Hughes Brooks, Arthur Brooks; one sister, Marie Keith; and one son-in-law, Glenn Dana Shultz. Pallbearers will be Dave Creasy, Lance Corporal David Creasy, Jason Morrow, Joseph Dockery, Jimmy Vick, Jimmy Curry and Jerry Vick.
