MRS. WILBERN DAVIS Mrs. Esther Kelley Davis, 79, widow of Wilbern Davis and a resident of the Williamsport Pike, died Saturday, August 17, 2002 at Life Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Wendell Robinson and John Vaughan officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Lawrence Hardin Kelley and Betty Southern Kelley. A charter member of the Graymere Church of Christ, she taught Tuesday - Thursday school at the church for twenty years. Survivors include three daughters, Janice (Harry) Nichols and Donna (Jasper) Parsons, both of Franklin, Deborah Harris of Columbia; two sons, Wilbur (Karen) Davis of Hampshire and Kenny (Lisa) Davis of Smyrna; two sisters, Louise Guthrie of Madison and Lorraine Ireland of Smyrna; three brothers, Leroy Kelley of Kentucky, Clifton Kelley of Columbia, Rayburn Kelley of Santa Fe; ten grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Archie Fox and a brother, Roland Kelley. Active pallbearers are her grandchildren, Daniel and Cindy Davis, Christopher and Terresia Davis, Michelle and John McBride, Clayton Harris, Jr., Kayla Harris, Courtney Nichols and Mark Rhodes, Jeremy B. and Jena Nichols, Denise Parsons, Jennifer Parsons. Honorary pallbearers are Linda Selmer, Jennifer Martin, Corrine Goatz, Maggie Vester, Dr. Linda Monroe, staff of Life Care Center and past and present Tuesday - Thursday school teachers.
