Ethel Anderson

Mrs. Luther Anderson Mrs. Clara Ethel Matthews Anderson, 96, widow of Luther Anderson and a resident of the Culleoka Community, died Sunday, July 18, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Tim McHenry officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery in Culleoka. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Ben Matthews and Alberta Head Matthews. She was a member of the Culleoka Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Edna (Bill) Ambrose of Culleoka and Evelyn Ring of Lewisburg; a son, Thomas (Dot) Anderson of Columbia; daughter-in-law, Ella Anderson of Columbia; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert "Cotton" Anderson; a grandson, Kenneth Ambrose; two sisters, Audrey Dugger and Mattie Anderson; a brother, Malcolm Matthews. Pallbearers are David Ambrose, Tommy Anderson, Steve Anderson, Dennis Ring, Ronnie Ring, Mike Anderson, Barry Anderson, Clark Anderson and Jerry Bolton.
