MRS. ETHEL ISABELLMrs. Ethel Jones Isabell, 84, devoted mother of eight, widow of Howard W. Isabell, and former longtime resident of Brannon Court, died Tuesday, December 17, 2002, at NHC of Hillview.A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 2:30 P.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Mike Roberts of Parkway Baptist Church officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Survivors include two sons, Stanley Isabell and Tony (Paulette) Isabell, both of Columbia; five daughters, Mrs. JoAnn (Johnny) Eskew of Murfreesboro; Mrs. Linda (Jerry) Walters, Yvonne Isabell, and Pamela Isabell, all of Columbia; Mrs. Veronica (Rob) Leonard of Knoxville; sixteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; close friend, Linda Sue Cooper of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by one daughter, Thelma Jean Isabell; one sister, Nina Potts; and three brothers, Emory Jones, Casey Jones and Howard Jones.
