Mrs. Ethel “Witsie” James Moss Plummer, 83, a resident of South Main Street, died Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care. Graveside services for Mrs. Plummer will be conducted Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Hayden Plummer officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home and Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Born on January 3, 1939, she was the daughter of the late James Moss and the late Jimmie Lee Riggins Moss and step-father, John Aday. On March 7, 1959, she married William Verner Plummer who preceded her in death on August 25, 2021. Mrs. Plummer was a retired accountant for Brown’s Ferry Nuclear Plant and was well known to people in Maury County having worked many years for Middle Tennessee Bank and Tennessee Farm Bureau. Mrs. Plummer was of the Church of Christ faith. She is survived by her children, Lisa Plummer Erickson of Salt Lake City, Utah, Rick Plummer of Columbia, Tennessee and Hayden Plummer of Lexington, Alabama; grandchildren, Jordan Erickson, Connor Erickson, and Lauren Erickson all of Salt Lake City, Utah, Taylor (Jennsine) Erickson of Charlotte, North Carolina, Leah Plummer (Derrick Cravens) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Will Plummer of Green Hill, Alabama and Georgia Plummer and Ayden Plummer both of Lexington, Alabama; great grandchildren, Everett Erickson and Naomi Erickson both of North Carolina; brother, Buford (Carol) Moss of Columbia; and sister, Sue (Jerry) Tate of Hendersonville. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
