Eugene Elaine Culberson

Mr. Eugene Culberson, 94, retired from Union Carbide Corporation, died Sunday, November 28, 2004 at his residence on Sunset Lane. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Murray Thomas Culberson officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends after 4:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Sam Culberson and Bell Painter Culberson. His wife, Christine Warren Culberson, died February 17, 1993. Survivors include two daughters, Sara Culberson and Ruthie Pearl Wiley of Columbia; two sons, Gene Culberson of Nashville and Fowler Culberson of Mt. Pleasant; a brother, John L. Culberson of Columbia; several grandchildren including a special granddaughter, Vicki Brady, who was his caregiver. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lela Hood and Eva Warren; three brothers, Ernest Culberson, Murray Culberson and Edgar Beard. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
