Mrs. Eurella Heathcott Gilliam, 79, retired employee of Dixie Manufacturing and resident of Sowell Mill Pike, died Thursday, August 12, 2004, at Columbia Care and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Dwain Brown officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery. The Weakley County native was the daughter of the late Emerson Etheridge Heathcott and Flora Jane Blankenship Heathcott. She was married to Purzie Huston "P.H." Gilliam who preceded her in death on February 10, 1984. Mrs. Gilliam was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include four sons, Larry (Sue) Gilliam, Ray (Alissa) Gilliam, and J. W. (Paula) Gilliam, all of Columbia; Jimmy (Diana) Gilliam of Jasper; eight grandchildren, Richie (Allison) Gilliam, Joey (Kristy) Bell, J. J. (Joy) Duarate, Jammy (Dawn) Gilliam, Sammy Ray (Kimberly) Gilliam, P. J. Gilliam, Rachel Gilliam, Jesse Gilliam; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Joey Bell, Richie Gilliam, Sammy Ray Gilliam, Jesse Gilliam, Jammy Gilliam, Ronnie Heathcott, and Steve Gilliam.
