Mrs. Robert E. Pahler Mrs. Evelyn Watson Pahler, 81, former resident of Columbia, died Thursday, April 17, 2003 at University Community Hospital in Tampa Florida. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Roberts officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Lex Watson and Willie Sanders Watson. She was a member of the class of 1939 at Columbia Central High School and was a former member of the Garden Street Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Pahler was an antique dealer in the Washington, D. C. area, where she resided with her husband, Robert Pahler, for forty-seven years.After moving to Tampa in 2000 she became a member of the Tampa Palms Women's Club. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Ian Watson of Tampa, Florida; two grandchildren, Robert Charles Watson of Austin, Texas and Ian Alexander Watson of Tampa, Florida; a great-grandchild, Elizabeth Watson of Austin, Texas.
